REGULAR VISA

Visa requirements:

1. Application Form
  1. ONLINE APPLICATION FORM for General Visa Applications.
  2. All visa application forms must be filled out online, printed, signed and have a readable barcode on the first page.
2. Two Colour UK Passport Standard Photos Photos must be taken within the past 6 months on a plain white or light grey background and printed on photo paper.
3. Original Passport with One Photocopy
  1. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of submission and with more than one blank visa page.
  2. Applicants who renewed their passport within six months must also provide their previous passport
  3. Passport will be kept in the TRO for reviewing and processing.
4. Original UK Resident Visa with One Photocopy For non-UK/EEA citizens: Original UK resident visa will be kept by the TRO for review
5. Flight Ticket Confirmation (or Reservation) Flight itinerary / reservation must include the applicant’s name and the dates of arrival and departure from Taiwan
6. Proof of Financial Support 
  1. Bank statement must be issued within one month, covering the last 3 months transaction records and include the applicant’s full name; or
  2. Original scholarship certificate issued by the Ministry of Education/Foreign Affairs (for studying Mandarin courses and Fellowship purposes only)
  3. Please prepare one photocopy for our records if applicant requires original bank statement to be returned

8. Payment
  1. Cash: for submission in person only
  2. Postal Order: available from UK post office
  3. Company Cheque: We do not accept personal cheques. 
  4. Please make the postal order/company cheque payable to TRO in the UK  (A cheque with an incorrect account name will not be accepted)
9. Collection
  1. In person with receipt during opening hours
  2. By post (UK address only): Applicant must provide a self-addressed and pre-paidreturn envelope.



- Applicants may submit their visa applications 2-10 weeks prior to their scheduled arrival date.

SINGLE ENTRY VISA FEE:   £149
MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA FEE: £199

Visitor visa: Duration of staying less than 180 days
                    Validity of visa  up to 3- 6 months
  • The TRO normally issues Single-Entry Visa. Should there be exceptional circumstances and needs for Multiple-Entry Visa, please submit supporting documents for further consideration, such as cover letter, travel plan, or flight itinerary for the next trip to Taiwan. For business reasons, please provide company statement with the dates of future visit, and a certificate proving business transactions with Taiwanese counterparts.

TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION (ETA)

Only available to:






People in India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos apply for the entry permit certificate for entry to the Internet. The following requirements must be met: 

1. Basic conditions (all must be met):
  1. The passport is valid for more than six months (when it is actually entering Taiwan, not when it is applied for online).
  2. Hold a return plane, a ticket, or a flight or ticket to the next destination.
  3. I have never been employed by a blue-collar worker outside Taiwan.
Second, special conditions (now holding one of the following documents):

  1. It still holds certificates issued by the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, the European Union Schengen, etc.: 
    (1) valid residence or permanent residence permit (right); or 
    (2) valid visa (including electronic Visa); or 
    (3) a residence permit or visa that is overdue for 10 years.
  2. It still holds the visa or residence permit issued by the Republic of China in the past 10 years, and there is no record of violations; however, the visa note code for the Republic of China is "FL" (foreign labor), "X" (other), "P" With Special Permission from MOFA ("Guanhong Project" paper or e-visa, retrospective and past principles), or the residence permit is "foreign labor", it is not applicable .
Third, note:
  1. The stay period is 14 days, counting from the day of entry; the approval certificate is valid for 90 days, and can be re-applied 7 days before the expiration of the validity period;
  2. If you fill in the wrong one, you can reapply immediately.
  3. For official passport holders only, temporary, emergency passports, other informal passports or travel documents are not applicable.
  4. Only for holders of formal visas, work permits or similar documents are not applicable.
  5. Visa in the above countries is not applicable if it is stamped with VOID, CANCELLED or CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE.
  6. The expiration of the validity period of less than 10 years refers to the expiration date of the residence permit or visa (if the expiration date of the invalidation period is subject to the date of issuance) and the date of entry into Taiwan, the distance between the two is not more than 10 years.
  7. If you have a permanent residence permit and you are not in a valid period, please enter the "9999" year on December 31st.
  8. The approval certificate is recommended to be printed on a laser printer. When entering the country, the certificate of approval and the documents listed on the special conditions must be presented for inspection. Those who are unable to produce will be refused entry.
  9. Indonesian nationals who have issued the "Verification Exemption Registration Certificate" issued by Japan may apply.
  10. For the first time with this certificate, you do not need to fill in the registration form. 
    If you re-enter the application within the validity period of the application, you must re-fill the registration form. 
    Please fill in an (online) Arrival Card for immigration inspection each time before reentry within the validity of this certificate.
